Ooh I love this one (more than the last one) it's so cute :P But also the bokeh here is just-wow.

This is great too! I can't make up my mind of which one I like better. :D You are an amazing photographer when it comes to birds (I can't get close enough to one to get a clear shot), let alone anything else! Keep up the good work. :)

I agree with State of Grace about the bokeh... amazing!

@State of Grace: Awesome!! :) yeah, it's a cute little guy :3 Thanks!! I worked hard for that bokeh ;) @SecretOfLife: Thanks! Aw!!! Thank you so much!! :) I have a 26x zoom, that helps to get close ;) Thanks & I will ;) @SimpleScenery: Thank you! :) @SecretOfLife: Glad you love it!! :) @Palindrome: :)) Thanks! @Babystruck: Thanks!!! :)) You're too kind! There's no such thing as perfection with my pictures... I did and WOW! I LOVE the Marshscape (Colour) :) It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! :)

Oh my gosh, I love this bird! They rarely visit my house, so, needless to say, I'm excellently pleased to gaze upon your wonderfully-composed pictures of them! ;) Awesome, once again. I'm left in awe at the quality and beauty of your wildlife pictures. You catch them in the right poses all the time! Forgive me if I asked this already, but what camera do you use?

ThePowerOfAnImage
November 25, 2013

@JollyRabbit: Thank you so much!! :) They only stop frequently at my house in winter, when there is less food. Thank you :)) Lol, no need to say sorry, I use a Nikon COOLPIX L320 with 16.1 megapixels resolution and 26x super-telephoto zoom NIKKOR ED glass lens :) Works very well, plus, it was only 179 $ (Canadian).

December 03, 2013

@ThePowerOfAnImage, I have a Nikon COOLPIX P500, with 12.1 megapixels resolution and 36x wide optical zoom, 4.0-144mm lens. :) It's really cool!

ThePowerOfAnImage
December 04, 2013

@JollyRabbit: Wow!!! 36x wide optical zoom? O_O I wish I had that excepted for the megapixels ;) I bet! :)

December 06, 2013

@ThePowerOfAnImage (I probably don't have to say that every time, but it's still fun, lol), yes, the zoom is really nice! However, the quality goes bad when I zoom all the way out, as is to be expected, ;). Maybe you will get it someday! :D I want to try taking pictures of birds in flight (like Foxleigh Photos does), but it's SO hard to pan with the birds! I don't know she manages to do it so well! But I should try taking bird shots with seeds sometime soon. :)

ThePowerOfAnImage
December 10, 2013

@JollyRabbit: (Lol, it sounds more... personal?) Ohh, ok, well, when I zoom all the way it's still great quality :) I hope so :P Birds in flight... for that you need manual lenses.. or be really lucky. when you have manual lenses you can adjust the focus on the animal and not on the background. (Foxleigh Photos is amazing a taking wildlife pictures) Well.. her dad is most likely a photographer so you get the point ;) like Palindrome, I believe her dad is in photography. Nonetheless, she IS an amazing photographer :) Also are SOG and light&shadows & you :) Good luck! :)

@ThePowerOfAnImage (you're right lol), I wish my camera could have great quality when it's zoomed in all the way. Oh well. Maybe someday I'll get a new one that's like that. I can do manual focus on my camera, but when I'm busy doing that, the bird is usually gone by that time! ;) My dad isn't into photography, but he also loves birds! I often show him my bird pictures, and we both get excited. And yesterday, my family and I went shopping, and we saw a snowy owl on top of a building! I know they can be found in MI, but it's pretty rare where I live. And it was during the day!!

(ran out of characters) Unfortunately for me, I didn't have my camera! My dad was going to take pictures with his iPhone, but he couldn't zoom in enough. :( It was awesome! He (or she?) was just relaxing at the highest part of the building's roof. We watched it for awhile before we got cold, ;). Anyways, I've missed a few days!

i love the way the background goes with the pose in the foreground, and the tones are nice and muted and cohesive. nice work :)

@JollyRabbit: Your shots are great! :) Lucky! My mom loves birds, but my dad doesn't care.. =( lucky.. WOW!!!!!! That's 10000x lucky!!!!!! O_O LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY!!! I saw them twice in my lifetime :) too bad no pictures were taken, it would have been like Foxleigh Photos' picture of a Snowy Owl :)

@ThePowerOfAnImage- Well, my dad knows what aperture and shutter speed are, but his big thing is video. :D

ThePowerOfAnImage
December 24, 2013

@Palindrome: Hey, he's better than I am, I don't know what aperture is and ... shutter speed is barely even English to me :P (I'm sadly not kidding here...). Video? Ohhhh, I LOVE to do wildlife videos :) I try to take some neat animal behaviors on tape. I love that as much as taking pictures ;)

JollyRabbit
December 27, 2013

@ThePowerOfAnImage, that's the opposite of me! My dad loves birds, and my mom could really care less about them, haha. Actually, my dad and I are the only ones out of my family that like them. I've got two brothers and two sisters. :) And I thought it would've been cool to get a shot like Foxleigh Photos's (if that works...), but hers was taken in a wild place, whereas mine was on some building. @Palindrome, I know what those are, but they are still confusing to work with. Especially the shutter speeds. I have trouble mainly with those and exposure. Wildlife videos are fun, too...

JollyRabbit
December 27, 2013

(sorry, but a little more)...but only if I have a tripod. Otherwise, they turn out awful. Actually, if you look up "Dog barking in slow motion" on Youtube, one of the top videos is mine. It shows an Australian Shepherd barking. Unfortunately there's no sound to it, because my camera can't catch sound when it films in slow motion. But after looking at that one, you will have found my channel, where I've also posted other wildlife videos in HD. I hope to take more! :D

ThePowerOfAnImage
December 28, 2013

@JollyRabbit: Really? Hmm, weird :P I and my mom and a little bit my sister love birds and animals, my other two brothers don't really care about them. I think it's photos' or I don't know.. I got a tripod & really? You like to take videos of wildlife! Wow.. same here! too bad about the sound. I got about 9000 photos/videos. By the way, do you like to birdwatch? eBird is a site where you can put observations of birds. It's something you and your dad might like to do? I know you can post pictures(Please accept this MyShot, can you accept this comment for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology

January 09, 2014

@ThePowerOfAnImage, I like taking videos of wildlife, but I don't usually have my tripod with me when I go out for pictures, so I don't do it too often. But when I have the chance, I'll definitely do it! :) I don't think my camera is supposed to have sound with slow motion videos. I don't know for sure. I love bird-watching! I'll ask my parents about that site. I checked it out, and it looks pretty neat. Have you used it for awhile?

ThePowerOfAnImage
January 14, 2014

@JollyRabbit: I like never use a tripod. Lol... usually it's a book, a post, or any other thing that's similar... I can't help you here, because I don't have a slow motion camera :P I love it too! :) I've been using it since August... but I've recorded observations from birding journals going as far back as 2009. I've also posted the picture Chickadee with Sun-flare. ;)

@ThePowerOfAnImage, I often use the window sill, too. I can get a good view from a window without a bird noticing! That's one great picture to post! Can people comment on the pictures you post? Yeah, I've recorded some bird sightings, but I'm not big on it. I just love to watch birds, but not necessarily record when/where I see them. I did recently record when I saw a kestrel, which was beautiful! I recorded what day I saw it just in case I get an account on eBird. :)

ThePowerOfAnImage
January 27, 2014

@JollyRabbit: Same :D I think so :) Oh, too bad, I mean, you can even see what is your rank in the best birdwatcher of your area ;) Awesome! I hope you get one :)

JollyRabbit
February 18, 2014

@ThePowerOfAnImage, yeah, that's right! I probably won't submit much more until this summer, because right now I don't have time to even do so much as to think about it. :P

February 21, 2014

@JollyRabbit: Yeah, I guess so. I'm so busy I have data of over two days in my head, and I can't get it out... well, I could, but I'd have to stop writing this and I'm too lazy to close this and open another thing =P

Lovely lighting and bokeh! Wish the birds near me weren't so shy!

June 27, 2014

@JollyRabbit, Totally :-P @LightPhonics, Thank you very much! Hmm, birds dislike sudden movement. I got that shot solely by staying crouched for a period of time.
