Prior Request, here is a brief description of how I do my eye macros. For these recent macros I have not used a standard expensive macro lens. I rely mainly on combinations of macro attachments. Then, Once I've taken enough sharp pictures, I edit them on different apps. To be continued in comments.

By macro attachments I mean my trusty Vivitar series 1 macro pieces. They are really great if you want auto focus while doing macros. Instead of extension tubes. As I said, once I have taken photos from a bunch of different angles I begin editing. Which includes, most importantly, clarity and sharpening work to really bring out the textures of the eye. And finally, sometimes, I'll put a filter on the photo. Hope this helps explain it! :)
