After watching these guys for a bit, they seem to avoid, if possible, the other birds and stay lower to feed off of the fallen seed.

Wow, nice photo! I can never take pictures of birds, and this is an amazing shot. What kind of camera do you use?

Thank you! Well, I'm at a slight advantage because these birds have become less fearful of us because we've been feeding them for the last two winters. That and I take all my bird photos from inside behind a glass door in order to respect the birds and let them feel safe and give me better photos. I currently use a Canon Rebel XTI with three different kinds lenses. The lenses depend on how far away the bird is from me.

@Icewind Also, just keep taking photos of birds, the more you take, the more you'll get to know them and get better photographs. I know that's kind of generic advice, but I've found it really does work.

This is wonderful! They're are lots of Nuthatches where I live. They're really pretty birds.
