@fearless, Thanks! I didn't use a shutter speed, I just snapped the pic! It took a ton of tries and I took it while laying on cold concrete during a rain storm and my camera got kinda wet, but it was totally worth it. I was so excited when this one turned out! I use a Canon Powershot SD780 IS digital ELPH to take my pics, but I'm hoping to upgrade soon. @etc1073 Thank you, it means a lot!

Hi well thanks everyone! @raynaldo and @*PolkaDot* This pic was actually an accident, I was trying to get a pic of the water drop on the dropper, but as I took the pic, the drop fell and hit the water as the shutter clicked!!! Thanks! Yeah, I had issues with the focus becuase the jewel in the center was reflecting my lighting. This one actually is in focus, but becuase it is reflecting light, it looks like it isn't. I happen to like the background, but everyone has their own opinion. Thanks for the comment though! Miss SB

mmm, yes, I have experienced this issue and have figured out how to fix it. Hopefully you use Elements10, becuase that is what I use. So when I save a picture, first I choose what file I want to put it in and then it goes about saving it and then comes this box and I would usually just hit OK, but then I realized after looking closely at it, there is a slider that you can move to change the quality/ KB/MB of your picture. I usually use medium which can be from 700K to 1.5M usually. Hopefully that is what you use and that is helpful. If not, tell me what you use to edit and maybe I can figure that out. I'm pretty techy and am totally willing to help you out!

Hi, can I join in? I agree with Fire Rose. I am was in a public schoo until 3rd grade when i was put in homeschool. I absolutely love homeschool. People that say homeschoolers don't "get out" or don't have lives don't know anything about homeschoolers. I am on multiple sports teams including a swim team that has won 1st place straight for 3 years now. I go to practice every day for 3 hours and socialize with both public and homeschooled kids, Christians and non-Christians. Many of us are homeschooled for certain reasons, but I am becuase my parents love me so much they take time out of their day to personally teach my siblings and I. They want to make sure I have the best education possible. I also see an added bonus becuase while some of you are stuck in school, I can take breaks and go out and photograph God's wonderful creation anytime I want. I can take vacations in the middle of the school year! Those that say homeschoolers have no life are absolutely WRONG!!

I used a Canon Powershot SD780 IS digital ELPH. It's a tiny camera, but it takes really good closeups as you can see. :-)

A red laser and 15s exposure in a dark room. It's actually kinda hard, I had to do it a couple times to get it right.

Thanks! She is my cousin's daughter. She is very sweet and cute, but the problem I had during this photoshoot was that she never smiled at the camera! She smiled everywhere except my camera lenses. I got really frustrated till finally I just had her sit down and told her to laugh. She did! I got a ton of pictures of her, but this is one of my faves.

Thanks! I've watched a lot of tutorials online and I got a few books from the library as well. Experimenting is also a great way to learn. Try different effects, tools be creative! If you have an Adobe account you can access their tutorials online to learn even more. For this pic I used photomerge and group shot. One you get the hang of it, it is soooo easy to use. Wow! <3. When I was flying to NYC, I tried this, but the pics didn't really turn out. Clouds from a plane, though, are the most amazing thing ever!!!!
